Finance Manager- Cost Accounting

 

·       Lead and oversee the cost accounting function, ensuring accurate allocation of costs across departments and products. Maintain cost systems and provide timely cost reports.

·       Analyze cost trends, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to management. Work with operational teams to optimize cost efficiency and reduce waste.

·       Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Conduct regular reviews to assess performance against budget.

·       Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper cost accounting procedures are followed. Coordinate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure accurate valuation of inventory.

·       Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports, highlighting key financial trends and insights. Provide financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

·       Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and regulations. Support internal and external audits as needed, ensuring accuracy and completeness of cost-related records.

·       Continuously evaluate and improve cost accounting processes and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and productivity.

·       Work closely with other departments (e.g., operations, procurement, sales) to gather necessary data for cost reporting and analysis. Provide financial expertise to support business decisions and strategies.

·        Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, providing training and support in cost accounting principles and best practices.

 

Job Requirement:

·       Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

·       Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in cost accounting or a related role.

·       Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.

·       Proficiency in financial software (ERP systems, Excel, and other accounting tools).

·       Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·       Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

·        Strong leadership abilities and experience managing teams.
