RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate with Manager – Contracts and Manager – Project on the quantity of building materials required to purchase for each site.
- Control and monitor the purchase of building materials at each site.
- Source for quotations of building materials from suppliers.
- Provide on-the-job training for staff in the department.
- Ensure information in the Purchase Order issued is adequate.
- Ensure prompt delivery of building materials at the site.
- Verify weekly submission of delivery orders from the site.
- Carry out other job assignments as and when required by the immediate superior.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma or Degree in Purchasing, Quantity Survey or Construction Management.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry.
- Candidates without qualifications but vast experience will be considered.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, planning and organising, problem-solving and analytical skills. | |
