RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate with Manager – Contracts and Manager – Project on the quantity of building materials required to purchase for each site.
  • Control and monitor the purchase of building materials at each site.
  • Source for quotations of building materials from suppliers.
  • Provide on-the-job training for staff in the department.
  • Ensure information in the Purchase Order issued is adequate.
  • Ensure prompt delivery of building materials at the site.
  • Verify weekly submission of delivery orders from the site.
  • Carry out other job assignments as and when required by the immediate superior.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or Degree in Purchasing, Quantity Survey or Construction Management.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry.
  • Candidates without qualifications but vast experience will be considered.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, planning and organising, problem-solving and analytical skills.
