| Job Responsibilities:
· Identify and assess workplace risks and implement measures to eliminate or reduce them.
· Prevent and mitigate health and environmental risks by formulating and enforcing protection policies and procedures.
· Oversee and review health, safety, and environmental documentation and data.
· Coordinate safety and environmental audits, remedy faults and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
· Consult with all departments to provide expertise and ensure compliance with standards, permits and processes.
· Develop and implement health and safety plans, including data capture and ongoing analysis.
· Oversee disposal of substances in compliance with environmental guidelines.
· Conduct emergency response and preparedness programs (e.g., emergency drills).
· Develop and deliver OHS training programs, inductions and refresher sessions for employees and contractors.
· Ensure all personnel follow personal safety precautions and safe working practices.
· Monitor HSE programs, statistics, and trends, identifying areas for improvement.
· Liaise with governmental bodies (DOSH, JKKP, DOE, KKM, CIDB, etc.) regarding certifications and compliance.
· Prepare monthly SHE activity reports, HIRARC, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and enforce SHE procedures (SOPs).
· Authorize Permit to Work (HSE portion).
· Lead accident investigations and prepare reports.
· Manage CLQ administration matters under SHE.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science or related field.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE within manufacturing or construction industries.
· Strong knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards.
· Certified Safety & Health Officer (SHO) by DOSH (preferred).
· Excellent communication and leadership skills.
· Ability to work independently and lead investigations and audits. |
