Client Industry: Global designer and manufacturer of office furniture and workplace solutions.

Location: Jalan Meru, Klang, Selangor

The role is responsible to provide comprehensive product application solutions through use of CAD based tools, product knowledge and collaboration. This includes working with the Product Solutions team around correct product selection and specials. Outputs include typical drawings, workstation layouts, finishes, option, floor plans, test fits, pricing proposals and other visual representations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of technical drawings that fulfills both the client’s requirements/technical specifications using Project Matrix software and related software tools.
• Review coordinates incoming workflows and plan accordingly base on customer’s requirement.
• Work closely with sales team, dealers, product solution, engineers, spec & quote, project team and operation to provide competitive product proposal.
• To provide pricing from the approved proposal.
• Prepare drawing sign-off and ensure specifications is accurately updated in Project Matrix before handed to spec & quote team to generate the quote.
• Provide regular updates and reporting to specific sector on technical design activities.
• Suggest & identify creative way to streamline processes to drive continuous improvement opportunities.
• SRT is reliable and delivers on commitments.
• Attend daily stand-up meetings, ensure project status are updated daily on the Heijunka board and work order system.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by management from time to time.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience preferably in furniture industry.
• Possess at least a Diploma in Product Design, Interior Design or equivalent.
• Strong technical and AutoCAD skills
• Possess strong understanding on Drawing applications (Sketchup, CAD)
• Good professional skills on MS Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be highly organized, and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
• Must able to meet tight deadlines.
• Able to work independently and within a team environment.
• Understanding and experience with CAD, project and order management.
