AI Technical Lead

About the Role

This is a strategic technical leadership role responsible for designing, architecting and implementing enterprise-grade AI solutions that improve business productivity.

Key Responsibilities

AI Product Strategy

• Define the AI roadmap for Payroll and HR products.
• Identify opportunities to introduce AI into existing business workflows.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to design AI-powered features.
• Translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend adoption strategies.

AI Architecture & System Design

• Design enterprise AI architecture for SaaS platforms.
• Architect scalable AI microservices.
• Design AI orchestration layers and workflow engines.
• Create secure and maintainable AI system architecture.
• Design multi-tenant AI services.
• Ensure AI solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, and scalability requirements.

Large Language Model (LLM) Development

Design and implement solutions using:

• OpenAI API
• Azure OpenAI
• GPT Models
• AI Assistants
• AI Copilots
• Enterprise Chatbots

Responsibilities include:

• AI Chat implementation

• Context Management

AI Function Calling & Tool Integration

Design intelligent AI capable of interacting with business systems through Function Calling.

• Execute payroll workflows
• Call internal REST APIs

AI Agents & Workflow Automation

Design and implement AI Agents capable of:

• Multi-step reasoning
• Workflow orchestration
• Tool selection
• API integration
• Business process automation

Build intelligent workflows for:

• Payroll Processing
• Leave Management
• Claims Processing
• Employee Self-Service
• HR Operations
• Compliance Checking
• Policy Guidance
• Knowledge Search
• Document Generation
• Report Automation

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

Design enterprise knowledge solutions using:

• Company policies
• Payroll regulations
• HR documents
• SOPs
• Internal documentation
• Knowledge base articles

Responsibilities include:

• Document ingestion
• Embedding pipelines
• Vector databases
• Semantic Search
• Knowledge retrieval
• AI answer generation

Technical Leadership

• Lead AI engineering projects from concept to production.
• Mentor software engineers and AI developers.
• Conduct architecture reviews.
• Establish engineering standards and best practices.
• Drive technical innovation.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Business teams.

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of hands-on AI / LLM engineering experience.

Candidates should be able to convert business requirements into scalable AI solutions.
