| Job Summary
Senior Barista is responsible for overseeing all coffee operations, maintaining beverage quality standards, managing barista teams, developing coffee programs, and ensuring excellent customer experience across all outlets. This role leads training, workflow efficiency, inventory control, and continuous improvement of the coffee department.
Outlet: Bukit Damansara, Merdeka 118, BSC Mall, The Gardens Mid Valley, Intermark Mall, KLGCC Mall
Key Responsibilities
Coffee Operations

Oversee daily coffee and beverage operations across all outlets.

Ensure consistency in coffee quality, recipes, presentation, and service standards.

Monitor espresso extraction, milk texturing, grinder calibration, and brewing methods.

Conduct regular outlet visits and quality checks.
Team Management

Lead, supervise, and motivate barista teams.

Prepare staff schedules and manpower planning.
-
Conduct onboarding and continuous training for all baristas.

Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching.
Training & Development
Beverage Development
-
Create and improve coffee and non-coffee beverage menus.
-
Research coffee trends, seasonal drinks, and new brewing techniques.
-
Work closely with management on beverage costing and pricing.
Quality Control

Ensure all beverages meet company standards.
-
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of coffee stations.
-
Monitor expiry dates, stock rotation, and ingredient quality.
-
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Inventory & Cost Control

Manage coffee bean ordering and stock levels.
-
Control wastage and monitor beverage costs.
-
Coordinate with suppliers for coffee beans, milk, syrups, and equipment.
Equipment Maintenance

Ensure all coffee machines and grinders are properly maintained.

Coordinate servicing and repairs when needed.

Train staff on proper cleaning and maintenance procedures.
Customer Experience

Handle customer feedback professionally.

Maintain high standards of hospitality and service.

Build a positive coffee culture within the team.
Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in specialty coffee or café operations.

Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of espresso machines, grinders, brewing methods, and coffee beans.

Good leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Passion for coffee and hospitality.
