Position Title: QA Manager

Tenure: Permanent

Remuneration: RM10,000 – RM15,000

 

Responsibilities

Process Quality Control

o Monitor and improve in-process inspection systems on production lines.

o Handle New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including start-up line quality.

o Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.

o Ensure compliance with IPC-620 standards and manage equipment calibration.

 

Technical & Analytical

o Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

o Collaborate with product development teams to define wire harness requirements.

o Perform statistical analysis on defect trends and prepare quality reports.

 

Quality System Management

o Maintaining compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and customer-specific requirements.

o Lead internal audits and coordinate external audits.

o Develop and maintain quality documentation (SOPs, control plans, work instructions).

 

Continuous Improvement

o Drive initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.

o Implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.

o Monitor KPIs (customer complaints, defect rates, audit scores) and report to management.

 

Customer Quality & Supplier Interface

o Act as liaison between customers and internal teams for quality issues.

o Handle customer complaints, warranty claims and ensure timely resolution.

o Work with suppliers to ensure incoming material quality and compliance.

o Support warranty claim investigations and corrective action implementation.

 

Team Leadership

o Supervise and mentor quality engineers and inspectors.

o Ensure training and competency development for quality staff.

o Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.

Others work assigned by the superior.

  

 

Requirement 

·       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quality Management.

·       Minimum 5–7 years of experience in quality engineering/management, preferably in automotive or electronics

·       manufacturing.

·       Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership and communication skills.

·       Utilize structured methodologies like SPC, 8D, FMEA, MSA, PPAP, 5-Why, and Fishbone Diagrams to address production errors and customer complaints.

·       Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

·       Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

·       Strong leadership in cross-functional teams.

·       Passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
