Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components, consumables, and services.
- Identify alternative suppliers to mitigate supply risks and improve competitiveness.
- Conduct supplier benchmarking, market analysis, and cost comparisons.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
Supplier Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and overseas suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, cost, and service.
- Coordinate supplier audits, evaluations, and qualification activities.
- Resolve supplier-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Cost Management & Negotiation
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and commercial agreements.
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
- Conduct cost analysis and support budgeting activities.
- Monitor market trends and material price fluctuations.
Procurement Operations
- Manage RFQs, quotations, supplier selection, and purchase recommendations.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules.
- Coordinate with planning and logistics teams to prevent material shortages.
- Maintain procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Planning teams on new product introductions (NPI).
- Support supplier qualification and material approval processes.
- Coordinate with Quality teams on supplier corrective actions and quality improvements.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Support ISO and other management system requirements.
- Prepare sourcing reports, supplier performance reports, and procurement KPIs.
- Maintain compliance with ethical sourcing and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Procurement, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
- Experience in electronics, EMS, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred.
- Experience managing local and international suppliers.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement and sourcing methodologies.
- Strong analytical and cost management capabilities.
- Good understanding of manufacturing supply chains.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronics components, mechanical parts, or manufacturing materials.
- Knowledge of ISO quality systems and supplier quality management.
- Experience in contract management and strategic sourcing projects.
