- Oversees the entire supply chain process, managing the planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of materials to ensure they are available at the right time, in the correct quantity, and at the best cost to support production and operations.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, logistics, warehouse, and purchasing functions.
- Implement and monitor the overall supply chain strategy to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Develop procurement strategies that are innovative and cost-effective.
- Manage daily supply chain activities, supervise staff, and allocate tasks accordingly.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate with local and international suppliers on price, quantity, quality, and trading terms to meet company objectives.
- Monitor supplier delivery performance.
- Compile information from all stores and analyze customer purchasing behavior and market trends.
- Coordinate with inventory control teams to determine and manage inventory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Commercial, Operations, and Customer Service teams.
- Ensure all procured items meet required quality standards and specifications.
- Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets effectively.
- Continuously improve supply chain systems and operational processes.
- Train new employees on purchasing, planning, and inventory processes.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management when required.
Qualifications & Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in a related field.
- Experience working in an ERP environment; Epicor experience will be an added advantage.
- Good communication skills and proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
- Strong problem-solving skills, follow-up capability, and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Able to perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by HOD or top management.
- Trustworthy, goal-oriented, creative, innovative, and able to work effectively under pressure.
