Welding Engineer Responsibilities:
- Leading welding projects.
- Analysing engineering designs & reviewing technical specifications for welding requirements.
- Overseeing a team of welders.
- Reviewing welding procedures, processes, and documentation.
- Managing welding procedure qualifications and generating welding procedures to help the manufacturing and welding teams : PQR & WPS
- Managing welders qualification and their renewal : WPQT
- Conducting failure analyses and root cause analyses on welding issues to proceed with continuous improvement
Welding Engineer Requirements:
- Degree in welding engineering such as IWE (International Welding Engineer)
- 5 to 10 Years minimum experience in welding engineering.
- Solid leadership skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Welding Overlay experience is a +
- Familiar with Auto GTAW / GTAW Process
- Familiar with ASME Section IX Welding Requirements
