Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, highly proactive, and detail-oriented Agile Product Owner to drive backlog quality, product clarity, and delivery readiness for a digital streaming platform. The role requires strong requirement discipline, confident stakeholder management, and enough domain understanding to operate effectively across video streaming experiences. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders and partners based in the United States. The successful candidate must be able to start work at 4:00 a.m. Malaysia time to provide effective overlap with U.S. business hours while also coordinating with delivery teams in Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear prioritisation and sprint readiness

• Translate business needs into detailed user stories and requirements

• Ensure high-quality documentation (acceptance criteria, edge cases, dependencies) •

 Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies

• Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders (client, engineering, QA, UX)

• Identify and resolve ambiguities, risks, and dependencies early

• Represent the voice of the customer to improve user experience and product outcomes

• Support delivery across multi-device platforms (mobile, tablet, smart TV) • Track product metrics and drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• 5+ years in Product Owner/Product Manager or similar role (3+ years in OTT/streaming may be considered)

• Strong Agile experience (backlog management, sprint planning, refinement)

• Hands-on experience writing implementation-ready requirements

• Proficiency in Jira & Confluence

• Excellent stakeholder communication (especially cross-time-zone)

• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Preferred Experience

• Background in OTT / streaming / media platforms

• Experience with multi-device ecosystems (mobile, TV, connected devices)

• Knowledge of streaming concepts (playback, subscriptions, DRM, APIs, CDN, etc.)

• Data-driven product decision-making (KPIs, A/B testing)

• Agile certifications (e.g., CSPO)

Working Setup

• Requires early start (4:00 AM Malaysia time) to collaborate with U.S. stakeholders

• Close coordination with both U.S. and Malaysia-based teams
