Key Responsibilities

• Support preparation and timely submission of all tax filings (Corporate Income Tax, SST, Withholding Tax and other statutory taxes)
• Ensure compliance with e-Invoicing regulations, including validation, documentation, and reconciliation with accounting records
• Prepare tax schedules and reconciliation between accounting records and tax reports
• Support Transfer Pricing (TP) documentation and ensure compliance with local TP regulations
• Monitor and manage withholding tax (WHT) obligations, including payment and reporting
• Handle tax-related journal entries and maintain proper tax accounting records
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and provide accurate and timely financial information
• Support tax audits, tax queries, and communication with tax authorities
• Review and monitor indirect taxes, stamp duties, and other statutory levies
• Assist in tax planning initiatives and identification of tax risks - Ensure proper documentation and filing for all tax-related matters
• Support year-end closing from tax perspective
• Assist in financial statement preparation with focus on tax disclosure

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in tax role
• Practical experience in corporate tax compliance and withholding tax handling
• Knowledge of Transfer Pricing regulations and documentation requirements
• Familiarity with Malaysian tax laws and statutory requirements
• Experience in dealing with tax audit, tax advisors and tax authorities
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to meet strict tax deadlines
• Advanced MS Excel skills (tax computation, reconciliation, data analysis)
• Good understanding of accounting standards and tax adjustments
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA in tax-related processes is highly preferred
