Job Scope / Responsibilities

1. Production & Operations Management

• Oversee daily factory operations to ensure PCB production targets for quality, cost, delivery, and safety are achieved.

• Plan, organize, and control production schedules to meet customer demand and ensure on-time delivery.

• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and utilities.

• Monitor and analyze production KPIs such as yield, cycle time, scrap rate, and productivity.

2. Quality Management

• Ensure compliance with PCB quality standards (e.g. IPC standards and customer specifications).

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints.

• Work closely with QC/QA teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Ensure audit readiness for internal, customer, and certification audits.

3. Process & Technical Management

• Oversee PCB manufacturing processes including imaging, drilling, plating, etching, solder mask, surface finishing, and testing.

• Support the introduction of new products, new processes, and new equipment.

• Review process capability and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and yield.

• Collaborate with engineering teams on process optimization and cost reduction initiatives.

4. Cost Control & Efficiency

• Control manufacturing costs through waste reduction, yield improvement, and process optimization.

• Monitor material usage, consumables, and inventory to minimize losses and obsolescence.

• Support quotation and cost analysis by providing accurate process, capacity, and cost data.

5. People Management

• Lead, coach, and develop production, engineering, and support teams.

• Ensure effective manpower planning, training, and skill development.

• Enforce discipline, safety rules, and company policies.

• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

6. Equipment & Maintenance

• Ensure proper maintenance and high uptime of production equipment.

• Coordinate preventive maintenance programs and breakdown repairs.

• Plan for equipment upgrades or capacity expansion as required.

7. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

• Ensure compliance with factory safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

• Promote a safe working environment and enforce safety procedures.

• Support sustainability, environmental protection, and waste management initiatives.

8. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, and Quality departments.

• Support customer visits, technical discussions, and issue resolution.

• Report factory performance, key issues, and improvement plans to senior management.

Requirements

1. Degree in a related Engineering field (e.g. Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent).

2. Minimum 10 years of experience in the PCB manufacturing industry

   • Candidates without the required degree must have an additional 5 years of relevant working experience.

3. Strong knowledge of all PCB processes, including:

   • Double-sided

   • Multilayer (at least up to 12 layers)

   • HDI

4. Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written).

   • Knowledge of Chinese and/or Japanese is an added advantage.
