Position Title: Assistant Sea Freight Manager
Tenure: Permanent
Remuneration: RM5,000 – RM 7,000
Job Description:
· To assist the Branch Manager, oversee and managing the whole Sea freight Department and providing guidance and necessary training to staff.
· To secure new customers, service existing customers, attend to customers’ requests, and ensure customer satisfaction.
· Monitoring daily activities of import/export to ensure the smooth running of daily customs clearance/shipment activities.
· Strong negotiation power of rates from Shipping Lines, co[1]Loaders, and NVOCC.
· Correspond and communicate with overseas group offices and agents via e-mail, fax/phone pertaining to inquiries and information feedback to/from customers.
· Ensure Monthly Tonnage Reports for import/export are submitted on time to Branch Manager
· To meet and achieve monthly and yearly sea freight targets. To work closely with all internal departments.
· Close follow-up and securing of debtors’ payments. Ensure all job files, billing & costing are completed and submitted to Accounts on time for fast invoicing/mailing to customers.
· Coordinate & provide seamless information feedback to/from Sales and operation Staff/Customer Service on any special arrangement requested by/offered to customers to ensure smooth & excellent service.
Job Requirement:
· HCS/STPM/Diploma holders in Marketing / Mass Communications /
· Business Administration / Transport with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the forwarding Industry.
· Ability to write and converse effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
· Must be computer literate (Ms. Word, Excel & PowerPoint, etc.).
· Good knowledge of Customs and Port Authority procedures.
· Strong leadership qualities with motivational skills.
· Able to lead a team of departments and willing to travel extensively.
· Possess your own transport with a valid license. |
