| Production Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning (New Product & Mass Production)
- Plan and coordinate production headcount based on forecasts and liaise with HR for recruitment.
- Arrange manpower and training plans to meet production needs and improve skill versatility.
- Design and improve production layout to enhance workflow and reduce waste.
- Ensure readiness of equipment, materials, and documentation before mass production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for mass production.
2. Quality & Delivery
- Review and support production plan, ensure sufficient resources & resolve process issues.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and production records are properly maintained.
- Monitor and improve takt time, productivity, and production yield.
- Conduct root cause analysis with other teams and implement CAPA for non-conformances.
- Support change management, risk assessment, and documentation updates.
3. Human Management
- Update and maintain employee skill matrix to ensure process readiness.
- Oversee OJT, induction programs, and probation evaluations.
- Provide on-the-job training on production procedures and standards.
- Monitor & evaluate employee performance, discipline, and hygiene compliance.
- Collaborate with superiors and HR on staff development or disciplinary actions.
4. Cost
- Monitor material usage and propose improvement initiatives.
- Analyse production efficiency and implement cost-saving measures.
5. Safety Compliance
- Enforce safety rules, including in equipment handling during the production process.
- Report and work together to resolve any safety risks or incidents.
- Ensure safety signage and protocols are properly implemented.
6. Others
- Ensure employees conduct daily 5S activities. Ensure cleanliness of the production area, especially in the clean room.
- Attend meetings as production representative as needed.
Requirements:
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in medical device manufacturing.
· Knowledge in production management (productivity, tack time, cost, layout etc.)
· Experience in manpower planning, managing production resources, and driving efficiency.
· Experienced in risk management, with strong analytical and planning skills.
· Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels and functions.
· Demonstrated strength in people management and team development.
· Familiar with ISO 9001, cleanroom practices, and regulatory compliance.
· Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and data analysis skills.
