General Affairs and Compliance Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all compliance and general affairs functions, ensuring the company’s operations align with relevant laws, regulations, internal policies, and industry standards.
- Develop, implement, and review company-wide compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures in accordance with local laws, government regulations, and corporate requirements.
- Monitor changes in legislation, government policies, and regulatory requirements, and ensure timely updates and adjustments to internal protocols.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and proactive communication.
- Represent the company in government and industry-related engagements, public consultations, and regulatory briefings.
- Liaise with relevant government departments to manage licensing, permits, reporting, and statutory submissions.
- Plan and coordinate company responses to government audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate compliance risks related to business operations and corporate activities.
- Oversee internal audits and risk assessments to evaluate compliance and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior management on emerging regulatory trends, risks, and best practices.
- Supervise and manage external consultants, legal advisors, and other third-party support related to government and compliance matters.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on compliance, government relations, and risk management for senior management and the CEO.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives, projects, or ad-hoc assignments as directed by the management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Public Administration, Law, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of working experience in government affairs, corporate compliance, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven ability to engage and liaise effectively with government bodies, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, government operations, and corporate compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be willing to travel, as the role requires periodic visits to regulatory bodies, government agencies, and company sites.
