Position Title : Test Manager

Responsibilities
Daily Operations Management
· Responsible for overseeing the entire testing process, ensuring software and hardware quality, and leading a testing team. They develop test strategies, manage test plans, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet project goals.
· Implement governance and reporting processes
· Implement standard processes, methodologies and tools
· Ensure that the team follows the testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology as specified in the test strategy
· Perform all test/ management activities - resource management, monitor and control, manage risks and issues, manage quality
· Responsible for managing the overall testing effort and deliverables, work with testing team to ensure that testing is on time and within budget
· Test planning activities and estimation, test scope definition with the use of risk based testing
· Manage test environment , test data preparation , test tools and test automation implementation
· Work with the application and technical architecture teams to plan various test phases
· Review test to ensure that they meet the entry and exit criteria.
· Define and facilitate formal sign-off process and procedures for testing deliverables
· Primary contact and escalation point for testing
· Manage and facilitate onshore-offshore communication
Engineering Change & Quality System
· Oversee the execution of engineering change requests (ECO, VCCA) and validation runs (FAI, SBR) to ensure production readiness.
· Maintain and regularly update quality system documentation including procedures, work instructions, matrices, and technical reports.
· Represent the Test Department in cross-functional meetings and drive alignment between test, production, quality, and engineering teams.
Team Leadership & Support
· Lead and allocate resources effectively across shifts; provide real-time technical support on the production floor.
· Mentor and develop test engineers and technicians through structured training and hands-on knowledge sharing.
New Product Introduction (NPI)
· Review new product documentation, define test strategies, and create detailed test plans and execution timelines.
· Act as the main technical liaison with customers and suppliers for product test-related discussions and updates.
· Lead internal development and customization of test systems to meet product-specific requirements.
· Conduct and document Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ) activities per regulatory and customer expectations.
Continuous Improvement
· Initiate and lead improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce test cycle time, and improve yield.
· Utilize statistical tools such as Minitab for yield analysis, SPC, Cpk, and correlation studies.
Requirement
· Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
· Minimum 5–8 years of experience in a test engineering role within the EMS or electronics manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
· Hands-on experience in PCBA testing methodologies such as ICT, FCT, Hi-Pot, Final Test, and Box Build Testing.
· Strong troubleshooting knowledge in both analog and digital circuits.
· Proficiency in test platforms like Agilent, Teradyne, GenRad, etc.
· Familiarity with ISO 13485, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies is an added advantage.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions and with international teams.
