  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 6:30pm

  • Reports To: General Manager


🎯 Role Overview

You will lead strategic buying, planning, and merchandising operations for in-house female fashion brands, similar to 7 Days or ZARA. This position plays a critical role in shaping product direction and driving commercial success in retail categories.


🛠️ Key Responsibilities

  • Develop/manage Merchandise Plan (M-Plan) and Open-to-Buy (OTB) budgets.

  • Lead seasonal planning, order placement, and demand forecasting.

  • Analyze sales history, market trends, promotions, and customer feedback.

  • Monitor sales, inventory, stock allocation, and turnover.

  • Conduct monthly M-Plan and markdown reviews to protect margins and optimize sales.

  • Create reports and analyses for stakeholders to support pricing, assortment, and marketing strategies.

  • Collaborate with marketing, VM, and operations for aligned product rollouts.

  • Mentor and lead assistant merchandisers/planners.


👤 Candidate Requirements

  • 5+ years in merchandising, product control, buying, or planning (preferably fashion/retail).

  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

  • Deep understanding of the Malaysian fashion retail market (especially women's apparel).

  • Good sense for fashion trends and consumer behavior.

  • Proficient in merchandising, budgeting/OTB, pricing strategy, and brand coordination.

  • Familiar with retail management systems and reporting tools.

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is required (due to Mandarin-speaking clients).
