1. New Product Strategy & Innovation
- Identify emerging consumer trends, market gaps, and category opportunities to drive product innovation and differentiation.
- Lead ideation and concept development for new products, working closely with R&D to explore and test new formulations, packaging designs, and formats.
- Conduct competitive and market analysis to support innovation pipeline development.
2. Cross-Functional Project Management
- Coordinate cross-departmental teams including Marketing, Sales, R&D, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, and Quality to bring new products to market efficiently and effectively.
- Drive projects from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, budget, timelines, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead post-launch reviews and identify improvement areas.
3. Brand & Consumer Engagement
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies including packaging, branding, and in-store/online promotional plans for new products.
- Provide creative direction to internal and external design teams for marketing materials, packaging, brochures, and POS tools.
- Manage collaboration with advertising, PR, media, and digital agencies to support product launch and awareness campaigns.
4. Operational & Strategic Optimization
- Analyze and improve internal processes across NPD, from manufacturing to distribution, to enhance cost-efficiency, lead time, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams and external partners (e.g. co-packers or outsourced vendors) for production scalability.
- Contribute to long-term cost optimization strategies.
5. Special Projects & Growth Initiatives
- Drive strategic projects such as flagship experiential retail launches, market expansion plans, or sustainability-driven innovations.
- Evaluate and support M&A or partnership opportunities relevant to product growth or category diversification.
6. Reporting & Compliance
- Track NPD performance, sales trends, and project milestones; present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
· To take ownership and responsibility for food safety and its non-compliance challenges.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives, projects, or ad-hoc assignments as directed by the management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Food Science, or a related field;.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in FMCG marketing, product development, or innovation roles, with a proven track record of successful launches.
- Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Creative, consumer-centric thinker with a commercial mindset.
- Knowledge of product regulatory requirements and food safety standards.
- Extra advantage for candidate having Six-Sigma Black Belt.
