Job Responsibilities:
· Oversee full sets of accounts for multiple clients in various industries.
· Prepare accounts on a timely basis for weekly, month-end, and financial year-end closings, along with aging reports and listings (if required)
· Review and ensure the accuracy of accounting reports and deliverables prepared by junior staff, when necessary.
· Support the management in planning efforts and supervise junior staff to maintain efficiency.
· Independently manage accounting and management reports, ensuring deadlines are met with minimal supervision.
· Submit accounting reports and deliverables within agreed timelines.
· Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, monitor unusual items, investigate discrepancies, and manage movements.
· Ensure client deliverables meet quality and timing expectations.
· Resolve queries from stakeholders and ensure action points are addressed.
· Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
· Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities on financial and tax matters.
· Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
· Provide guidance and training to junior team members on accounting principles, processes, and software.
· Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the main point of contact for accounting-related queries.
· Handle additional ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Specific Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL system is an added advantage
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
· Effective communication and leadership skills to guide and mentor junior staff.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Experience in an outsourced accounting firm is an added advantage. |
