SUMMARY:
Responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing production operations to ensure the efficient, timely, and cost-effective manufacturing of goods while meeting quality standards and production targets.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee production scheduling and planning based on production orders, factory capacity, material, and manpower availability to ensure optimal equipment utilization.
• Manage and lead the Production Department in alignment with company goals and departmental objectives.
• Supervise the daily operations of the Production Department, providing guidance and support to all production staff, and conducting meetings and presentations for management.
• Develop, implement, and monitor company activities related to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), Safety & Health, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Ensure career development for subordinates and manage their performance.
• Monitor and improve customer claims, yield, and scrap performance in production.
• Plan manpower allocation based on monthly processing hours and adjust daily staffing to meet shipment targets.
• Ensure production efficiency and maintain manufacturing costs at their lowest possible level.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives in process, cost, quality, and production, ensuring adherence by production staff.
• Ensure on-time delivery and achievement of set production targets.
• Manage inventory levels and monitor Work In Progress (WIP) regularly.
• Maintain Work Order Management systems for accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and environmental control requirements.
• Provide counseling and career development guidance to subordinates.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production operations.
• Communicate roles and responsibilities for environmental controls and ensure compliance with applicable legal and other regulations.

Additional Responsibilities (Lamination Products):

• Monitor and maintain optimal quality and efficiency in the lamination process.
• Perform regular checks on the laminating master list and recipe to ensure product quality.
• Maintain traceability records of production data and equipment usage (Plates, Press pads).
• Ensure operators follow instructions on job travelers, WRI, or PRS for each job.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams to resolve process-related issues.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols within the lamination process.
• Report findings and improvement activities related to the lamination process to Senior Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Diploma in a relevant field with proven experience in production and manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and the willingness to implement continuous improvement efforts.
• Knowledge of Kaizen principles, problem-solving techniques, and practical productivity improvements.
• Experience with ISO 9001/EMS 14000 standards.
• Familiarity with Injection Molding and Lamination processes is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Knowledge of technical journals, specifications, and international standards.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities with a goal-oriented approach.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric mindset.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines independently, with strong presentation skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, twisting, sitting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
• Must comply with all relevant policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
• Availability for travel and fieldwork, including international travel, with the possibility of extended hours to meet deadlines.
• Possession of own vehicle and valid driver's license.
