Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned project(s) to ensure that the project completes on time, within budget and specified quality and safety requirements for handing-over to the clients.
- Lead, plan, direct and/or coordinate with the entire project team (internal & external) on activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities and systems towards the successful completion of the project.
- Manage resources, such as financial, manpower, materials and machineries productively and efficiently within the budget.
- Review, monitor progress and provide support to all Departmental Head and/or site staff.
- Ensure smooth progress of the project through close liaison or attend meetings with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and relevant authorities.
- Ensure that the Company’s Quality and Safety Management System are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure standards are complied with when preparing for award schedule of sub-contractors or suppliers and call quotation, conduct negotiation and recommendation leading to award.
- Ensure total completion of project and obtain the Certification of Practical Completion.
- Ensure all final accounts are closed.
- Ensure that the project is completely handed over and Certificate of Making Good Defects is obtained.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent.
- 8 years' working experience in high rise commercial building and mixed development projects with a contract sum exceeding RM150 million and proven track record of completing projects within budget, time, quality and safety.
- Essential exposure in multi-disciplinary works within a project, including handling project planning, budget and cost control, safety and quality system implementation.
- Possess good understanding of design, detailing, building regulations, project implementation and tender processes.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with key stakeholders, consultants, sub-contractors and supplier.
- Essential knowledge and experience in ISO and QLASSIC implementation in construction industry.
